Who is Eligible to Submit Articles to Your Database?

The Law and Policy Institutions Article Database contains articles of original research, analysis and expression with wide appeal and an emphasis on contemporary legal developments. Law and Policy Institutions accepts electronic submissions from legal practitioners, academia and organizations. Include a brief article summary and your byline when submitting an article.

What Copyrights Do I Retain From My Articles?

You will retain copyrights to your material. All articles will include general copyright protection notices as a reminder to viewers that the work is that of someone else, to give you due recognition for your original works and as a prompt to credit and/or contact you if the contents are considered for more than personal, educational use.

What are the Guidelines for Article Submissions?

· Articles may be hands-on or topics of interest (or possible controversy) to the legal community, less than 5000 words in length, and single-spaced with a double space between paragraphs.

· Citations in all submitted articles should conform to the latest edition of The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation. Manuscripts must be accompanied by the author's address, telephone number, fax (if available), and e-mail address. The author should also include a short abstract of the paper and a byline. A link may be included in the byline. If uploading an article, please send the file in Word format.

· We are unable to offer monetary compensation for your article at this time. By submitting an article, you are verifying it is your work and you are the legal copyright holder of such work, and will hold us harmless of any and all copyright disputes or actions that may result because of copyright infringement issues.

· Your byline will be up to six lines of author bio information at the end of your article.

· By submitting an article, you are indicating you have read, understand, and agree to these terms.
